TUESDAY TREASURES FOR MY Active Rain FRIEND JUDY KLEM Judy Klem loves to garden and quite often she photoblogs some amazing photos ~ you can almost smell the fragrance as she explains the different blossoms.   That said, I will tell you I was given a very small African Violet from my neighbor when I first moved into my house in Sunset Beach eight years ago. She presented "Her Treasure" to me in a small 3 inch clay pot and told me to water it from the bottom ~ Duh,   what?? The bottom, the bottom of what?? I obviously didn't know what she was talking about and wondered why the heck she had this clay pot sitting on top of a bunch of pebbles in some sort of saucer ~ I will admit I researched the care of African Violets as soon as my neighbor left because I knew nothing about the plant at all ~ The only plant that ever survived in my Sunset Beach home was a Pothos, but you can't kill those, anyone can grow them, ... more
