Speechless Sunday: Happy Father's Day Dad
My father is 86 years old. When he was younger he was an award winning news photographer. He covered Presidents and the news of the day. Many of my childhood memories are captured in great photos by my Dad. I didn't always like posing until he got the perfect shot but in the long run it was worth it.
He gave me my first Brownie camera and then a Nikon. I never really liked the technical aspect of photography learning the F-stops and lighting and waiting for the film to be developed. Our garage was filled with dark room photo equipment. He always told me I had "a good eye" so fortunately today in the digital age of iPhone cameras I just frame the shot and click.

Here was one of my birthday parties. In the photo is my mother and my father's mother my Grandma (May they rest in peace). Although cut off above my mother's head are some of my father's famous photos. I think the legs sitting on the bench is President Truman. There is another one of a Bowery Bum enjoying a Thanksgiving dinner.
