Just closed on a Nightmarish transaction, but it was definitely worth it in the end!
After thee long and grueling months we closed on my client's new home yesterday...You may remember I wrote a post about witnessing the robbery of my client's future water heater in progress. Long story short, it was someone the property manager used, who claims they didn't know they weren't supposed to take the water heater...They returned it; broken pieces and all (now my client is likely going to have to buy a new water heater, loooooong story).
My client's lender kept making requests that weren't typical for a HUD transaction. It ended up costing her additional money she wasn't expecting; in addition to, shelling out even MORE money for two additional extensions due to all of the drama we were going through.
This transaction even inspired another post about whether or not we as real estate agents should add "Mind Reader" to our resume...
A veeeeerrrryy long story, short...We closed on the property yesterday...My client even walked away with over $2,000 due to credits and an unexpected refund of the money she was required to pay for the extensions.  She admitted she finally allowed herself to feel a tinge of excitement the night before closing (prior to that she'd been drained ... more
