Hurricane Season Be Ready
Here in Southeast Florida, Broward and Dade CountiesIt's time to dig through our boxes of Flashlights, Batteries, Candles and Matches again.If we haven't gotten our Water and non-perishableswe need to go ahead and make that trip to the Grocery Storeand stock it up in the Garage or Laundry Room/Pantry to have it ready.One area of being prepared you need to stay on top of is the Hurricane Shutters.If you have bought a new home recently here in South Florida, especially a foreclosurethat has been vacant for quite some time,You need to make sure all your shutters fit.The Year Wilma was approaching, My Family and I were outside finishing putting up all out Hurricane shutters.We noticed the older couple next door that had just purchased their home five months before, were struggling putting their Hurricane Shutters up. This was their first time getting their shutters out and figuring out which shutter fit what window. We went over and helped them, as well as a few other neighbors before we were done.My point is, if you've just recently purchased, check those shutters out now while the sun is still shiningand we're not under any kind of threat.
