Working smarter might mean making some changes.
As I am desperately trying to complete my 2010 Income Tax returns, I can’t help but notice how expensive it is to run a real estate business.
It turns out that I spent nearly a half of all my income on the little things. I do not pay rent nor do I have any employees. But the cost of doing business keeps going up as commissions commensurately go down.
You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to conclude that this trend cannot continue indefinitely. There is a breaking point, or rather, an “event horizon” from which there is no return.
So I am going to reassess all of my expenses and try to pare down to the bare essentials. I really have to work smarter and make some changes.
Otherwise I will be sucked in the abyss never to be seen or heard from again.
