Just ask anyone who is in real estate and they will tell you real estate's very nature is one of the most time consuming and competitive industries one can try earning a living in and that is without even doing business in today's economy and housing market. With that being said just last week I was contacted by email from an elderly loan officer who wanted to meet with me as they had just relocated to Woodbury MN from out of state. I knew the purpose for the appointment was going to be very one-sided with the intent for me to help acclimate the loan officer, and for them to want to cultivate a relationship with me where I ultimately send them business. Keep in mind that it isn't like I don't already have relationships with a number of loan officers and certainly did not need to create another relationship. As a real estate agent being self-employed you always need to contemplate where you should spend your time to be the most productive you can be. Not some of the time but all the time and especially in today's economy and housing market.
