Fall is settling over Braemar, bringing it's chilled air and earlier and earlier sunsets.  We'll be gathering at the annual Braemar Halloween Spooktacular before you know it.  Before summer is a distant memory, let's take a look back at the Braemar real estate market, in particular, for Braemar carriage homes.  What we have to report here should warm you up a bit.
Before we jump right in, let's go over what exactly a Braemar carriage home IS?  There are four models of Carriage homes in Braemar and they include, from smallest to largest:  the Maplewood, Norwood, Oakdale and Parkdale.  These homes are most notably distinguished by their lack of attached garage.  Some homes have a detached garage in the rear of the home, others do not.  At the time of construction, garages were an option, therefore an additional expense.
During the months of July and August, there was only one Braemar carriage home that sold.  This is compared to the seven that sold in the previous reporting period of May and June.  That one sale, a Parkdale model--the largest of the carriage homes, listed for $349,900 sold for $340,000.  It's sales price becomes our new ... more
