Looking for Unfiltered, Unbiased Search Engine Results? Google May Not Be Your Best Choice
I've begun using http://www.duckduckgo.com for web searches and have found it to be a reliable source of search results without the filtering that one encounters with Google search.  Until Google makes it possible to more easily turn off their tracking and filtering of search results, I'm expecting to continue experimenting with semantic search online.  I'd be interested in hearing others' results from trying semantic search!

The moment you use some search engines, they're gathering information about what you like, what you search for and what they think you want to see.  Search engines show completely different results to different users, based upon their past search and browsing habits.
Simply put, when you use Google search to track how your own websites are doing, that search is biased, based upon your past search habits.  Google shows you results that are influenced by your own past searches.  They're telling you what you want to hear.
It's not easy to turn off this feature in Google search.  Some tech experts say it's becoming impossible.  There's too much money in Google's search "bubble" approach for them to make it easy.
