The Saga Continues! The Snow Storm of October 2011

 
Today I have the luxury of sitting in the comfort of the lobby of the Hampton Inn in Manchester CT while the rest of the world is dark around me.  No, I don't have a room but they are letting me charge my phone and use the wireless network.  The small things we are grateful for!
 
I am currently #54 on the waiting list to get a room here so I have a long road ahead of me.  The only thing I am banking on is that either I or someone I know gets their power back soon.  I have friends and relatives in several towns and I know one of them will invite me in when they get their power back, as I will invite them in if I get my power back.
 
In the meantime, we are cleaning out the debris, gingerly moving dangerous branches in the front yard (and not allowing anyone in the backyard where it's really dangerous).   And we will take it one day at a time, but in the meantime (because I have so much time to think these days), I think about the things I am really grateful for:
