Sellers and Buyers and Lenders... oh my!
Several things have made me stop and think this week.
 
The owner of a home I currently have listed sold it himself and closed on it last Friday. I received a call from the new owner who asked me to retrieve the yard sign and keybox from the property.  He proceeded to tell the story of how he had purchased the home for cash and closed on it the previous week.  Honestly, I was in shock and for several minutes all I could say was.... "What?"  We finally said our goodbyes and I immediately called the Seller.  Sure enough, he sold it and had been intending to make the call to me and just couldn't bring himself to do it.  I had already decided to take the high road when I called him, but I have to admit, I had several things I wanted to say.   
A contingency fell through.  Actually, it was a double contingency and I represent the person in the middle.  This buyer made an offer that was accepted contingent on the sale of their home.  A Buyer for their home made an offer with a contingency on the sale of their home.  In the meantime, the ... more
