ROCK-N-ROLL MARATHON 2011 ~ SAVANNAH, GEORGIA
 
I am on the plane to Savannah, Georgia as I write this post.  I am heading there to run my fourth half –marathon this year.  Those of you who follow my blog know that this is a passion of mine.  I for whatever crazy reason have decided to make it my life-long goal to run a half marathon in every state in the U.S.
 
Let’s see, so far I have run most of my 13.1 mile races here in Texas but have now completed races in Las Vegas, Michigan, Louisiana and after this weekend – Georgia.  I have found the thrill of planning a great vacation around my running passion.  This allows me to see new places and gives me solid goals to keep me on track.
 
The Rock-n-Roll race in Savannah is the inaugural event this year.  The race sold out months ago and there are no hotel rooms or inns with any vacancy at all!  I have never been to Savannah but it must be a great city since there is such great interest in this race.  Of course being a true southern gal, I know the history of this ... more
