Short Sale Question: Can I Push The Short Sale Process To Make It Go Faster?
IL – The Stop Foreclosure Institute recently received a question from Marlen. Here was her question. "I am trying to buy a short sale. It has been 4 months and we have heard nothing except that we are now on our 2nd negotiator, still with no contact from them. I am getting very frustrated. Is there anything I can do on my end to try to push the process along, or is it all up to the agent? When you say they are on the second negotiator, it makes me think that the short sale lender is Bank of America. If you think that the process is going to slow, then find another house. Unless the agent has a proven track record with short sales, then there isn’t much you can do. Even if you do stay on board, you should always be on the lookout for another home.
