Mulligans are famous on many South Florida golf courses when you miss a shot you'll then be given another shot when your first shot comes up short and your first shot won't be counted and they won't worry about it too much; a Mulligan. In golf, your second shot comes up with the next swing or putt. With a Short Sale, you'll get your second shot [or Mulligan] at home ownership perhaps earlier than you thought; dependent upon your financial situation when you sold your home as a Short Sale.
