Chili week in Griffith, Indiana.
It’s Chili week in Griffith, Indiana.  Chili week seems fitting due to the weather.  I’m not complaining because the sun was out today!  We’ve had one of the mildest winters that I can remember in my advanced years.  Like the way I got around that?
 
In the next four days there are two chili events in Griffith, Indiana one on Saturday, January 28, 2012 and the other on Monday, January 30, 2012.
 
The Lions Club of Griffith will be hosting a chili supper as a fundraiser on Saturday, January 28, 2012.  The proceeds from the event will benefit the Griffith youth programs. 
 
The Griffith Lions Club Chili Supper will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m..  Location is at the Griffith Senior Center, 349 N. Indiana Street, Griffith, Indiana 46319
Cost is Adults $7.00, Children 12 and under $3.50.
 
 
The American Legion Post 66 of Griffith will be hosting a chili cook-off on Monday, January 30, 2012.  If you wish to participate, bring your chili by 5:30 p.m. to enter the contest, judging will be at 6:00 p.m.. The top four chili dishes win a prize.
