Lake County Indiana Home Prices 1996 – 2011 show that home prices are currently at a 28.09% increase over the 15 year period. 
 

 
This chart shows that Lake County Indiana home prices had peaked in 2007 at $122,750.  From 1996 to 2007 there was a 37.92% increase in home prices. 
 
Home prices in Lake County Indiana saw a downturn in two years following the high in 2007.  At the low in 2009 home prices saw a 15.27% drop. 
 
From 2009 to the end of 2011 home price in Lake County Indiana increased 9.62%.   While home prices are starting to go up the number of homes sold in Lake County Indiana was still trending down.
