I'm sure many of you don't need to be reminded that de-cluttering is the most important first step in preparing your house to sell, but Kristin Hamilton's blog below is one of the best I've ever seen. Her photos alone have inspired me to go clean my house tonight!

So you are thinking about putting your home on the market and you have taken care of all the minor repairs and just about ready to call a Realtor. But you need to do one more thing; De-Clutter inside and out.
 
The size of your house is not going to change but there are things you can do to make it look larger and more enticing to prospective buyers.
 
Here is a bedroom with lots of knick-knacks sitting around and the color is pretty bright.
 
 
 
Now here the room has just a few items sitting around now, the picture was changed, and the colors are toned down. The room looks bigger.

 
Here is a messy closet; yes most of our closets look like this but to sell your home, pack or give away things you are not using. ... more
