The Sorcerer and Trial by Jury

What:  The Victorian Lyric Opera Company presents a contemporary take on two of the earliest collaborations of the famous duo, "Trial by Jury" and "The Sorcerer". In Trial By Jury, a sensational (and hilarious) breach-of-promise case culminates in that rarest of outcomes - everyone is satisfied. In The Sorcerer, two young lovers wreak havoc in their little village with the aid of John Wellington Wells, a devilishly clever "dealer in magic and spells." Both feature Gilbert's acute wit set to Sullivan's glorious music.
