Cafe Jolie on Webster Street in AlamedaCafe Jolie on Webster Street has been open for a few months for breakfast and lunch.  It is a beautiful location, completely renovated since the locations former life as Tillie’s.  Cafe Jolie offers delicious coffee and pastries at their coffee bar for you to enjoy at their outdoor area and a marvelous breakfast/lunch menu inside.  
Cafe Jolie seems to have revitalized Webster Street simply by its presence. The block is buzzing with activity centered around the restaurant.  No matter when I drive by it is always full with people waiting in line to be served.  It is one of my favorite West End place to eat breakfast or lunch because it is just so pleasant to be there. The picture below was taken at about 10:30 am on Friday. Shortly after we arrived the room was full and a line was forming.Cafe Jolie owner Joanne Guitarte and her partner Bobeck Parandian named the cafe after their daughter.  Joanne describes the cuisine as French inspired fusion. Produce is bought at the Farmer's Market and dairy is from Pt. Reyes.  Their meats are sustainably farmed and their chickens are free range.According to Bobeck, who lived ... more
