Sounds simple, especially if you are at least 18 and have no debt, just getting started in life. I was watching ABC News a few nights ago with Diane Sawyer and there was a segment on child identity theft.
 
She said 1 in 10 infants and children have had their identity stolen by thieves. They open accounts after defaulting on others and can run up huge debt.
 
It can be years before parents can find out.

Imagine as you child comes of age and you are wanting him/her to establish credit and get
started in life.

That would be to buy a home also.
