Real Estate Agents And Brain Surgery!
I was speaking with another Broker yesterday and he said "I remember when selling homes used to be fun" and it made me think about when I first got into the business and how much fun I used to have.  Now, not so much but why? Well, it has much to do with other agents. Many agents care more about themselves than the client and because of that way of thinking, many times a transaction will never get to the table because of all the obstacles agents put in the way, their argumentative attitude and just their over all me, me, me demeanor.
At the end of the day, real estate is not brain surgery, nobody is going to die because of it. Real Estate agents play a very important role in a real estate transaction in that we know (to name a few things) the day to day goings on in real estate, we know (or we should) what paperwork is involved and how to draft it up, we know (or we should) how to negotiate without taking things personally, we know how to read home inspection reports, we know know how to over come problems that come up and most importantly, we know how to ... more
