Nobody said it was easy, No one ever said it would be this hard
Real estate really hasn't turned into the business I expected when I began.
Buying a home was an exciting thing.  The dreaming and planning with friends and family.  Clients imagining how their life could be and my helping them take real steps towards achieving a major life goal.  That's really big stuff.

For me at least, I have seen so many families face devastating financial hardship, short sales, foreclosures, bankruptcy.  The Sacramento housing market has been hit as hard as any place, but it's not the market that has taken the real hit.
It is the people.  Nice people, some with kids, some facing an uncertain retirement.  Real estate did not deliver on the promise or expectations of millions of Americans.
These days I spend as much time in a form of financial grief counseling, helping the struggling figure out what's next.  I have taken a fairly vocal position against fraud and abuse in the mortgage markets and as such, have become an ally to many struggling homeowners.  Many I have sold their homes to, and many have simply found me.
