Beating The Heat!
Today is an absolute scorcher in Charlotte, with dangerously high temperatures. First I would like to stress my concern that you refrain from running outside without water and be safe by treating your body right instead of pushing it to its breaking point. Secondly many people need to get past these boiling, thermostat bursting temperatures with out bursting their home cooling bill. Here are a few tips that will help you stay cool this summer!
-Set the thermostat higher when you leave the house. There's no point in setting your thermostat to 70 degrees while your at work, so set it higher than what you usually have it on while at home.
-Using a fan can help drastically! You do not have to go out and buy a Dyson "no blade" fan for $500, a $50 fan will do just as good if not better. Fans are only a few cents an hour to keep on and can drop the temperature in a room by six degrees!
