A Nasty Surprise
Here's yet another good reason to short sell - and to use a knowledgeable agent. Sellers need someone who can not only negotiate well, but get the signatures to prove that they aren't going to be held liable down the line.
 
How's that for a catchy Title?
What in the world does it mean?
Suprise, surprise, if you let your house go to Trustee Sale, and subsequently repurchase it, you may find the junior liens being reattached!
There's a nasty rumor going around that even if you purchase a different property, there may be an effort to attach the junior liens to the new property!?!?
If true - that's yet one more reason why you may want to consider a Short Sale versus letting your property go to Trustee Sale.
