Will Staging a 1936 Portland-area Cottage Help it Appeal to Buyers?
Our Portland home staging company recently staged a charming older cottage in a nearby suburb.  The seller had already moved to their new home and the listing agent realized that a vacant home holds little appeal for potential buyers.  When a buyer walks into a vacant home they often have a difficult time figuring out how to use the space, and staging successfully addresses that issue.
It's also true that when a home is vacant, small imperfections in things like paint or flooring may become items to focus on, since there's nothing else to look at.

This vintage 1936 cottage was previously beautifully decorated by the seller, but when she moved out with her furniture, it seemed smaller than it actually is & not cozy or inviting

By using appropriately-scaled furnishings we can show buyers that the living room has enough seating for a conversation area

The bedroom looked forlorn without any furnishings
Staging allows the buyer to imagine living here

Staging also allows a buyer to be "beckoned" from one area to another, to encourage them to want to see more of this home Now this is much more welcoming ....
When your home is on the market don't leave money on the table by leaving ... more
