Coral Springs' Annual Thanksgiving Basket items needed by 11/2. It has been told that 4335 baskets have been put together by volunteers since 1988 - WOW, that's amazing! Such an outpouring of kindness!
As many families continue to struggle financially, what better time to help them out then during the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday time. Your generous donations would be welcome for these families in need, by dropping off the much needed non-perishable items such as; canned vegetables, instant mashed potatoes, canned yams, canned fruit, packaged stuffing mixes, canned gravy, cranberry sauce, canned pumpkin mix and canned milks for pie making, ready made pie crusts and cookies. Of course, monetary donations are also welcome.
The donated items will be placed in Baskets along with gift certificates for a Turkey, Ham or main dish and then brought to families in need by our local religious organizations. Families will be selected ahead of time to receive the Thanksgiving baskets.
As a Coral Springs resident and/or business, you can drop off your donation to:
City Hall at 9551 W Sample Road or
City Hall in the Mall at 9239 W Atlantic Blvd or
Coral Springs Gymnasium at 2501 Coral Springs Drive
