It is mid November, Thanksgiving is almost upon us and the bright reds and vivid yellows of maple leaves seem to be the last holdouts during this autumn season.  
It is so wonderful to see the brilliant reds contrasted next to the golden yellows and the other colors that are surrounding these beautifully dressed trees.
Every year I go about my business and forget that there is a special event about to take place.  This year many leaves were blown off their branches when Hurricane Sandy came through.  And then, there they are again!  That wonderful burst of red and yellow scattered through out Delaware County: as the Japanese maples and other maple trees began their wonderful autumn display.  
This offering by Mother Nature is one of the special things about living here in Delaware County PA. Thank you Mother Nature for this beautiful display.
