Free Event Ypsilanti MI: Online Tools to Make Your News Grab Attention
Ypsilanti, MI – Ypsilanti non-profit organizations and for-profit businesses have many differences between them, but they definitely have one thing in common. All businesses and organizations need and want publicity, and the newspaper is definitely a key source to help draw some of that coveted attention.

However, not everyone knows how to write a press release. Even more daunting, many people do not know how to get things published in the newspaper. Michelle Rogers, managing editor of Heritage Media-West who prints the Ypsilanti Courier and other local newspapers, will be giving tips at the Heritage Community Media Lab, located in SPARK East on Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Michelle Rogers of Heritage Media-West will show people ways to contributing content to local newspapers in addition to media websites. She also will share tips on what editors want and how to present news to them. She will also share how to promote online content on social media. This workshop will show how to improve the chance of getting published.
She will discuss new and visually interesting ways to help content stand out among the rest.
