2012 Ending With Historic Highs in DC Arlington & Alexandria
As 2012 comes to an end, RBI (Real Estate Business Intelligence) reports that the DC median home sale price in the District is up 14% from last year and, at $435K, the YTD median sale price for 2012 is the highest on record.  Arlington Virginia also peaked at $510K as did Alexandria VA at $455,000.  December 2012 statistics will be published on January 10th 2013.
2009 Statistics

Many counties in the DC Metro area saw the bottom of the market in 2009. This chart shows rankings for the Top 10 counties in the DC Metro area by relation to Peak Price, based on the aggregate median sale price from January thru November (latest market data available). The far right column shows appreciation from post-bubble "bottom."
