Today I Was Told by BOA My Home is Going into Foreclosure
HAPPY to support you, Gail, oh mutual friend of Debbie Gartner's and a fellow "victim" of bank neglect.
Just a couple of suggestions that include (in Conn. I hope):
1) Homestead your house, by filing in your County with a "Hardship" situation. Go to the County's department where homes/deeds are registered/filed. You may need a lawyer in letigious states like NY, but this should protect your family's home from bankruptcy and foreclosure. A reverse mortgage might also accomplish this ...but you're a realtor and know more than I do about such steps.
2) Call B of A's CEO / CFO and talke to their DIRECT asst!! After my husband and mom were put through hell and nearly 120 days of a cross county "paper chase" and run around at Wells Fargo Mortgage, I called my hometown. I reached WFBs CEO's office in San Fran and reminded them that my Dad had held an account with them since he got off the boat from Korea in 1958.
