Jamestown RI Real Estate Market | January 2013 Before you make that leap into buying or selling in this local community, read the current Jamestown RI Real Estate Market Update | January 2013 and know the market.     Real estate market information for Jamestown, RI provided by Ginny Lacey Gorman of waterfront RI real estate, as follows for January:    Single family homes on the market: 66 Single-family properties closed in January 2013: 2 Average sales and median price: $273,500 Sales price to list price ratio: 98% Average days on the market: 55 Sales currently pending: 4   Jamestown’s home absorption rate has increased due to the inventory of homes on market and the decrease in home sales.  This is not typical of the recent past market stats for this community.
  Breakdown of the 2 Jamestown RI single family home sales is as follows for January: 1 home  sold under $300,000 and 1 home sold between $300,00-$400,000.  In January, the under $400,000 home generated the buying interest.     Home sales decreased from 7 homes sold in December to 2 homes in January.  The cold winter has impacted Jamestown buyers interest and interest right now is waning.  Expect a rebound in the next month's ... more
