3 Strange But True Events That Occurred on February 27

Have you read my www.ActiveRain.com/Resultsblog? If so, you know one of the pastimes I enjoy is discovering random trivia, learning new facts and mulling over interesting truths from history.
I often locate interesting items while reading our local San Jose Mercury News, or one of my favorite magazines to read, Mental Floss or  Smithsonian. Other times I find articles or facts of note online at The History Place, Brainy History,Dates In Historyor the National Geographic Society. Today’s collection of facts was found primarily at Wikipedia,  The People Historyand History Orb.
Here are today’s 3 Strange But True Events That Occurred on February 27. I hope you find them interesting, too.
1951 – The Twenty-second Amendment to the United States Constitution, limiting Presidents to two terms, is ratified.

1964 – The government of Italy asks for help to keep the Leaning Tower of Pisa from toppling over.
1973 – The American Indian Movement occupies Wounded Knee, South Dakota.
