Jumbo Mortgages Staging a Comeback In Milwaukee WI According to recent articles including an analysis by Linda Sterm with Reuters found here it appears that they may be doing just that.
Prior to the housing bubble bursting home loans that exceeded Agency Limits ($417,000) were plentiful and the market was robust. But since the the bubble burst the market all but dried up. It seems that may be changing.
Luxury Market Outpaces Lower End of Market According to the Wall Street Journal Article by Michael Strozier entitled Lenders Loosen Up ...... With Luxury Buyers sales of homes between $750,000 and 1 Million are up 38.7% while homes selling for over 1 million are up 25.7%. The Article cites information obtained by the National association of Realtors. It appears that credit markets are stabilizing for very well qualified borrowers and the appetite for Jumbo and Super Jumbo Mortgages is growing.
