He found me on Google; he clicked on me because of the picture!
I got a call from a nice customer in Stamford CT and he wants to refinish his hardwood floors.  After speaking to him, I asked him if he remembered what he typed into google...and he had it up on the screen.  He typed in "resale value of refinishing hardwood floors."  And, of course, up came one of my posts entitled "What types of flooring provide the best ROI if you are selling your home.
 
There are 3 things interesting to me here. 
First, while I was on page 1, I was not #1, nor even in the top 3.  On his screen I was #5 (which is still good).  But, why did he click on me????  He said he clicked on me because it had my picture next to it.  This really reinforces the need for google authorship...and if you're still not sure how to do, check out Craig Daniel's post on "Does google count you as an established author?"
