MMMMMMM....Gemma Rae's !
      If you live in or near Hales Corners...a suburb of Milwaukee and have not treated yourself to a tasty breakfast, lunch,dinner or bakery selection from Gemma Rae's Cheesecake Café ....you are really missing something !   Pressed for time...and wanting to bring something special to a party....we headed straight to Gemma Rae's at  5311 South 108th in the shopping mall just south of Edgerton Avenue.  We knew that there would be just the fresh home made  never to be duplicated kind of tasty dessert we could not find anywhere else...and were not likely to find in our own kitchen with spring market having arrived earlier than usual.  Not that I can pretend to have the same talent and good taste as Gemma Rae's...no matter HOW much time I have ! It is a friendly neighborhood place where the owners show their pride in the menu they select...from the  selection to the eye appeal....breakfast omelets, an appetizer, fresh salad or sandwich that includes Italian specialties...sausage, meatballs and eggplant parmesan.  Served with your choice of home made fried potatoes or Italian potato salad.  Dinners include Sicilian steak or chicken, lasagna, eggplant parmesan, mostaccioli or spaghetti...all with home made sauces...fresh ... more
