LISTENING is the key.
You improve your listening by being an active listener being quiet more than talking and HEARING each part of  a person's story, like unlocking each tumbler in a door lock.
Work INTENSELY at getting all the pieces of a person's story to GRASP WHAT THEY ARE ALL ABOUT. Observe the non verbals as well as listening to the VERBAL. THEN you will achieve maximum understanding. AND THEY WILL NOTICE!! ... more
