Why Fishing is better than Golf...
Well, I'm in an office now full-time.  My time out of the office is a balancing act of family, kids, more work, and fun.  I've spent more time on the water than most people.  In my "past life", I used to spend a lot of time on the golf course.  I was a financial advisor; it's what 'we' did.   Then came the big light bulb day 9 years ago..
I had a boat full of customers...Dad, kids, and their spouses...  I had a great talk with the Dad on the way out to the fishing grounds.  He was really into fishing and being on the water.  I heard some great stories.  He talked the talk.   He was ready for a heck of a day.  When it came time to drop lines, he was the last in the water.  He took his time.  He had his eye on everyone else.  I saw all of this, but none of it really registered at the time.  After a little while, everyone was catching cod and it was great.  He landed a few fish, but took his time.  Something wasn't right.  Comparing his conversation in the cabin on the ride out with his ... more
