Ron Lee sits in the living room of his 1898 Queen Anne-style home, built by Henry Sieben at 520 Harrison Ave. The ornate and historic home will be featured Saturday night during the Helena Symphony’s Music in the Mansions. Nationally known violinist Stephen Cepeda will provide musical accompaniment to the festivities and Madrigal Singers from the Helena Symphony Chorale will entertain attendees as they transition from the two mansions. The other venue, the home of Lucy Dayton and Mark O’Keefe at 531 Power St., will feature harpist Tess Michel and light fare by chef Jeff Spurlin.
Lovers of music and of Helena’s historic mansions can get a taste of both Saturday, as the Helena Symphony and some generous homeowners host “Music in the Mansions,” featuring food, wine, music and the striking interiors of two private residences.
Soloists from the symphony will perform in the mansions from 7 to 9 p.m., and the music lovers will switch houses at 8 p.m., entertained on the short trip by ... more
