St. Tammany Crab Festival 2013
Boiled crabs, crab cakes, soft shell crab poor boys… is your mouth watering yet?! Well it should be! If you want some great Louisiana seafood this weekend we know just the spot!  The St. Tammany Crab Festival is going down Saturday, June29 through Sunday, June 30 at John Davis Park in Lacombe.  
It’s a new festival that is taking place of the old Lacombe one.  That crab fest  was cancelled after nearly four decades.  Beginning Friday, June 28, carnival rides will be in full swing, then, the fest kicks off the next day.  Of course the entire family is invited to enjoy a ton of concoctions of the blue crab of Lake Pontchartrain.
There will be plenty of delicious local favorites at the festival as well.That includes funnel cakes, jambalaya, crawfish pies, alligator sausage, turtle soup, homemade ice cream, and of course the liquids will be flowing as well!
There is a special nonprofit aspect to the event which features the Cultural Heritage Village.  The village will showcase local history, Culture and heritage of the French, the Creoles and the Choctaw Indians, who were among the early settlers of Lacombe.
