Refreshing Weekend at the Monastery, busy week ahead...
My Wife Sally and I spent a refreshing weekend in a local Franciscan Monastery, attending lots of meetings and enjoying a little solitude, scenery and history as well.
I stuck my blogs on autopilot before I left so  that I could minimize the amount of time spent in the internet, after-all who goes to a monastery and then plays on the internet all night.
It was a good weekend, a good time to visit with new and old friends from around Wisconsin, unforunately is will be the last opportunity to visit this historic and holy place. 
The two Capuchin priests who run this place are in their seventys and ready for retirement, and nobody is available to fill their shoes.
If you know of any good Catholic priests who are looking for a job, and a little solitude, let them know there is a need in Wisconsin for them.
I hope you all had a great weekend, sorry I did not reply to any comments this weekend, hopefully I will get to them soon, it's starting out to be a very busy week, trying to get everything done in Western Wisconsin before ... more
