The Maryland State Fair, to me, is synonymous with the beginning of fall and fall has always been my favorite time of the year with all the sites and smells that go along with it.  I love the harvest time, the changing colors of the leaves, the smell in the air on a cool crisp autumn day.  But the beginning of that is fair time and I absolutely love it!!  August 23 is the beginning of the Maryland State Fair and I will be there, just like I've been every year since I moved to Maryland in 1997.
