Sumter SC Real Estate Market Report for July 2013

July 2013 proved to be a strong month for homes sold in the Sumter, SC real estate market.  In July 2013 there were 92 homes sold which was the exact same number as June 2013.  The number of homes under contract the end of July was 189 which is a decrease from 199 at the end of June 2013.  While the number of homes under contract for sale has decreased, the number is still much higher than the 146 homes that were under contract at the end of July 2012.  Indicators are leading to show that the Sumter SC real estate market is still strong compared to the past 2 years.
 
The Median home price in Sumter has increased since March 2013.  This steady increase in the median home price has the July 2013 median home price at $155,800.  The Average $ per Square Foot was $72.79.    The price per square foot in Sumter SC remains strong over the summer months of 2013.
