One Mom’s take on One Direction
So if you have a teenage girl you might have found yourself at the One Direction-This Is Us movie this weekend like I was. I came into this with an open mind, ready to learn and soak the whole experience up. Maybe this movie would help me understand why if Jay says something my girls deem ‘mean’ about the group it will most likely cause tears, maybe it will help me comprehend the true meaning of a Directioner vs Directionator vs Carrot, maybe I will get it because I really do want to understand. (As much as you can understand hormonal teenage girls and their musical obsessions.) So here is my 1D knowledge. I’m fairly certain I am a Directioner and not a carrot. I can sing almost all of their songs even though my girls tell me I shouldn’t. In all honesty, I like the group but I was hoping the movie would clear up the absolute One Direction hysteria that dominates a large amount of time every day. So here is one mom’s take on why One Direction is such a big deal to my 11 and 13 year old.
