just some thoughts about (911)
i used to think of 911 as an emergency phone call. I don't even know if that is still the case, is it?

I can remember where I was on my 49th birthday, also what I was doing.
In the same breathe a friend was asking me what I was going to do to celebrate my birthday and that he had just heard on the radio that a plane or planes had crashed into buildings in New York
I didn't want to believe him. I figured he'd gotten it wrong.
 
On my 50th birthday I flew to Houston Texas. I didn't have any 2nd thoughts about getting on the plane. In Houston we saw a news flash that potential terrorists had been stopped in Naples, and the airport in Ft. Myers was now in a no fly zone. Guess we wouldn't be going home soon.
 
When I was younger I used to wonder what it was like to have a birthday on Pearl Harbor Day. I don't know why I wondered I just did. Now I have some sense of what that's like.
