Lebanon Hosts 31st Annual Country Applefest September 28 2013 It's almost here, one of Lebanon's BIG events, the Country Applefest!  Now assuming you've recovered from this weekend's Oktoberfest in downtown Cincinnati, you want to mark your calendars for Saturday September 28th and head to downtown Lebanon for apples in MANY forms and types.  You'll feel like Bubba from Forrest Gump talking about shrimp, but drop in apples instead!  My personal favorite?  The apple fritters from Irons Fruit Farm!  But there will be plenty of other forms of apple, be it pies, freshly picked apples, cider, caramel covered apples or another apple version!
Held in historic downtown Lebanon from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., rain or shine and admission is FREE!
You'll have vendors, but they are limited to arts, crafts and food!  No politics.....no soliciting, just have fun!  And another UNIQUE requirement for that arts & crafts vendors?  The vendor MUST have made what they're selling personally! 
Now one change to this year is they're trimming back on some of the extras, no music, no dancers, just a focus on the festival's roots of food and crafts!  
And why not have an Apple Bake-off while we're at it!  Last year's ... more
