Philly Tax Abatement in Question??
Living in the City of Philadelphia? Great information offered by GPAR.
Over the last 10-years the City of Philadelphia has seen a dramatic resurgence in housing and people wanting to live near the City. This resurgence has brought thousands of people into the city. The restaurant scene has exploded. Our neighborhoods are cleaner. Our streets are safer.
The key catalyst to this resurgence has been the 10-year Tax Abatement. This abatement was directly responsible for getting people to invest into the city, both
buying new homes and renovating existing ones.
The 10-year tax abatement is currently under attack by Councilman Wilson Goode Jr.   Councilman Goode claims that the tax abatement is directed at “The new,
the few, and the well to do”. Councilman Goode also claims that people
benefiting from the abatement are taking school funding away from our children.
We don’t believe this is true, and want to collect facts to prove it.
The Greater Philadelphia Association of REALTORS® and concerned citizens of Philadelphia are fighting back and we need your help!  We are collecting information
and statics to preserve the 10-year tax abatement. We love this city and
