Getting your Cleveland area home ready for the fall season
Ah yes the fall and soon to be winter is near.  It is that time now to get your home ready.  Here are some suggestions
Inspect your roof, gutters and leaders. It's best to hold off until later in the fall when most leaves have fallen to have your gutters cleaned. But it's smart to do a visual inspection now so you have plenty of time for repairs before winter. 
Move your firewood to a covered area. And be sure to check for insects before moving indoors. Have your chimneys cleaned before that first chilly night. Buildup of residue and blockages are a common cause of house fires. This is a job for a chimney professional.
 
 
 
Don't forget to schedule your heating system serviceand make sure to have your air handlerfilters changed. 
Consider installing a generator now – before the forecast calls for a storm. 
We all know all too well how frustrating it is to be without electricity hours, days or even longer. A portable generator can keep a few lights and the fridge on, while a stand-by generator, which kicks in automatically, can keep your house running the way it should.
