I Love You Arizona...
  I love you, Arizona; Your mountains, deserts and streams; The rise of Dos Cabezas and the outlaws I see in my dreams... is the opening of our official state song written by Rex Allen Jr. I can think of no better way to begin this post.   Arizona had it's 101st Birthday this past February 14th, Valentines Day, how appropriate. As states go we're youngsters having been the last of the 48 states to be admitted to the union.   People who haven't visited or lived in Arizona believe it's one giant desert, (remember all the John Ford Westerns), but the truth is we are one of the most biologically diverse states in the U.S., home to at least 10 different climate zones and 7 million people most of whom came from somewhere else. Arizona is also one of the most beautiful places on planet earth, just check out any issue of Arizona Highways. As many of the photographers of that great magazine can attest, you can spend a lifetime discovering Arizona and never see it all. If it sounds like I'm proud of my adopted home, I am.
