The State of Oregon . . . She Flies With Her Own Wings
The State of Oregon is home since I relocated here in July 1990.  The state's motto:  "She Flies With Her Own Wings" couldn't be more befitting to me.
Oregon is known for many things . . . mainly trees, rain, and the great Pacific NW outdoor activities.  
Since living here, I've been to many places including the Oregon Coast, the inland areas which are actually "high desert" in geography, topography and nature . . . and to the areas' vast forested regions.
Oregon's geography is split roughly into eight areas:
Oregon Coast— running north/south of the Pacific Ocean, with 363 miles of coastline.  The Oregon Coast is divided into three regions:  the North Coast, the Central Coast and the South Coast. Willamette Valley - This is where I live.  It's the most populated region in Oregon and is located in the state's NW corner.  We're surrounded by tall mountin ranges to the east, west and south.  The Columbia River is to the north (dividing Oregon from Washington state.)  Rogue Valley - is a farming and timber producing region in the southwestern part of the state.
