Sugarloaf Mountain on a Beautiful Fall Day
Today, the intention was a to take a little day trip to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania for a little history lesson.  But between oversleeping and the telephone ringing, the morning got away.  So we scaled it back just a bit for an beautiful afternoon on Sugarloaf Mountain, north of Washington near Dickerson, Maryland.
The leaves were beautiful, and I noticed a few that I hadn't seen here in DC.  These were pull the car over and stop beautiful, a rich pink color that I hadn't seen in the city.

And while there are many wonderful views of Sugarloaf, the views from the top of this mountain are also quite amazing. 

And if you go up there, lunch at the Comus Inn is just lovely.  You might need reservations, especially to sit in the sun-room overlooking Sugarloaf.
