In the past six months short sales have still sold in abundance here in Port St Lucie, Florida.  Short sales were approximately 17% of homes sold in the past six months. 
There were 362 homes sold within the city in the past 6 months prices ranging from $28,000 to $1,500,000 with an average price of $119,221.  The short sales were on the market an average of 169 days.  This is a far cry from 4-5 years ago when 6 months plus was common. 
 
There are currently 564 single family homes on the market for sale that are short sales making approx. 23% of the homes listed for sale. 
The price range of the homes for sale start from $20,000 to $999,000 with an average price of $135,016.  These homes have been on the market an average of 173 days.
266 of the homes are under contract still subject to short sale approval, 145 have had short sales approved and waiting to close and 153 homes are not at this time under contract.
